The Salem and Beverly Water Supply Board would like to inform residents that there will be a temporary interruption of the application of fluoride to the public drinking water system due to planned construction and fluoride system upgrades at the water treatment plant, located on Arlington Avenue in Beverly.
The application of fluoride will terminate on or about July 13, 2026, and will continue for approximately 60 days. As previously stated, this disruption is part of a planned upgrade in the current fluoridation system at the plant and to ensure the Water Board delivers high quality, reliable drinking water to the residents for many years to come.
All other water treatment processes will remain fully operational, and the drinking water will continue to meet all state and federal drinking water standards.
We will update the public on this website when the project is complete, and the new fluoride system is operational and the addition of fluoride resumes.
We appreciate your patience and support as we complete these important infrastructure improvements.
